International Model United Nations or commonly abbreviated as IMUN is a place to discuss serious issues facing the world. IMUN is like a simulation of a UN session, anyone who follows IMUN will feel how it feels to be a UN administrator for some time.

IMUN participants or delegates have the opportunity to train or improve several abilities including English, public speaking, debate, writing skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.

IMUN does require prospective delegates to use their own fees. However, it is comparable to the benefits that will be obtained. Among them:

In addition to being a representative of a country, delegates will be formed into several groups. These groups will be given problems and are required to find solutions to these problems. 3. Increase Self Confidence

One of the skills that must be possessed by everyone is public speaking. But the facts on the ground state that there are still many who have not dared to speak with many pairs of eyes staring. The problem lies in low self confidence.

At IMUN, delegates have the opportunity to give a speech on representing a country and submit an official statement. And from there, self confidence will increase by itself.

Menurut Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud), awal mula sejarah bahasa Indonesia yaitu pada tanggal 28 Oktober 1928. Pada masa itu, para pemuda dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia berkumpul dalam suatu rapat dan berikrar: 1. Bertumpah darah yang satu, tanah Indonesia. 2. Berbangsa yang satu, bangsa Indonesia. 3. Menjunjung bahasa persatuan, bahasa Indonesia. Ikrar tersebut dikenal dengan Sumpah Pemuda. Pada unsur ketiga, disebutkan bahwa bahasa Indonesia adalah bahasa persatuan. Dengan kata lain, bahasa Indonesia adalah kunci terjalinnya komunikasi antar suku di Indonesia. Pada tanggal 18 Agustus 1945, akhirnya bahasa Indonesia dinyatakan kedudukannya sebagai bahasa Nasional bangsa Indonesia. Keputusan Kongres Bahasa Indonesia II pada tahun 1945 di Medan, menyatakan bahwa bahasa Indonesia tumbuh dan berkembang dari bahasa Melayu selaku bahasa penghubung di hampir seluruh Asia Tenggara yang sudah dipakai sejak abad ke-7.
